This weekend has been great! I managed to get a good workout and find a set of high quality senbon at a local flea market for a really good price. Thankfully, I've already got my part of the rent and such socked away, so any money I get from work now is purely for fun and saving. I'm enjoying living with Kisame-san so far. He's a good roommate in that he rarely bothers me, he seems to like my cooking, and hasn't once batted an eyelash when I start cleaning stuff. Also, his shark is pretty sweet. This place is in a great location with a nice view, so all in all I'm really happy I moved here. Work tomorrow, and a doctors' appointment. Not looking forward to it but such is life. mood: giddy music: Bon Jovi - Livin' on a Prayer |

I've started to move out of my old place, and not a moment too soon. My bosses' wife had already started packing my stuff by the time I got home from work. I double-checked everything to make sure that she didn't try to take some of my more expensive collectible pieces. I have a few weapons that were gifts that could seriously be in a museum or fetch good money from high-quality collectors. Anyway, I still have plenty of boxes to move if anyone wants to help, but it was really nice of Kisame to let me move in with him. In the name of trust I do have a check to cover my half of the rent for the month, since that's just the right thing to do. I was practicing my Eskrima the other day, since I was able to pick up some rattan on the cheap, and my opponent ended up landing a good hit right on the back of my hand. I have such a welt! Good thing it's on my left hand, so I could just wrap it up and keep going. Bled for a while though...some neosporin and keeping it bandaged should have me right as rain in no time. Damn it feels good to be training more frequently again. I missed the adrenaline thrill. mood: awake music: My Chemical Romance - I Don't Love You |

The birthday passed mostly uneventfully. Got some good gifts, and some crap gifts, but that's how it goes. One gift was definitely worth the wait... I went dancing last night, shouldn't have gone alone especially considering that I ended up in some club that was more like an all-purpose meat market than a dance club. Some guy kept buying me shots though, and seemed to really like when I got up on that table...he gave me a business card for some club downtown if I ever want to earn extra money. ...holy crap, I think he wants me to strip. That's far too funny for words. Anyway, time to go work off this hangover at the gym. New training gloves and gear is looking good, and I can't wait to break it in! Anonymous commenting is ON. What I want you to do is a post a confession in a comment. It can be about anything, even me, but you must make it anonymously. Come on guys, tell me what's on your mind...mood: annoyed music: Shadows Fall - Fleshold |

I'm not sure what happened, but I feel like something major did and I missed it. Work got super busy - there was some storms that caused spot outages that I got to do some traveling to take care of. I got back and was told by my boss and his wife they want me out more sooner than later. Then I got the message about mom. Apparently, she's taken ill, and my father has to take her into the city proper to get her some tests. So I raced home to spend some time with her before they admitted her. I hope that whatever is wrong with her is easily fixed, since I have no idea how my dad would survive without her. I was going to call Sasori to see if he wanted to do something, but then I realized that big shot doctor guy is probably busy. So, I'm looking for something - pretty much anything - to do to take my mind off of work and other stupid life drama. Anyone wanting to hang or something hit me up, I'm down for whatever. mood: blah music: Yoko Kanno - Flying Teapot |

Ever been in a situation where you kind of feel like your life is moving along while you're standing still, with no idea of what to do? That's like...a metaphor for my life right now. It's confusing. I'm being swept along in the riptide, and I seem to have forgotten how to swim. I need to fight something, hit things, feel like I have control back. I wish there was a tournament coming up, because I'd totally enter. Otherwise, my boss' wife mentioned she's pregnant, so I have to find a new place to live soon. I really need to set up a time to meet with that Kisame guy about his spare room... mood: curious music: Regina Spektor - Fidelity |

I think I'm getting a cold, otherwise the utter malaise of all work and no play is making Tenten a bitter little pill. But look, a meme! 1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.” 2. I respond by asking you a couple personal questions so I can get to know you better. If I already know you well, expect the questions may be a little more intimate! 3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions, but only if you want to... 4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post. 5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.mood: blah |

I've been kind of bored lately. I need something to do, someone to hang with and have fun with. I'm totally itching for that spar...I have so much pent up frustration and energy to get out. This has been a productive week for me. I found a place to keep up with my Shotokan Karate and my Ju Jitsu lessons as well as some people who have similar interests in weaponry to mine. I can't wait to find someone willing to spar with katana, or bo, or even kunai. It's been a while since I was in a good fight. I'll have to keep those lovely sharp pointy things and blunt dangerous things packed up just a bit longer, since I've picked up a babysitting job to help out a guy who seems kind of nice but stressed. I'm good with kids, and I need something to do anyway, so this will work out well for both of us. I'm kind of bored currently. I wish I knew more about this area or had someone to hang with... mood: bouncy |

Why are some people so ridiculously stupid? Yes, I'm a girl, and I'm here to work on your buildings' electricity. No, I'm not helping daddy and No, I'm not a dyke. Just because I know how to use tools and am probably better at dealing with wiring than you are doesn't mean I don't appreciate guys. Seriously... In better news, I've started to get paid. Money is awesome, and maybe soon I can get a place of my own. It's nice working with someone who respects my skills, but at the same time I wish I didn't feel so ahead of some of my fellow Engineering students. I can't help it if I'm good with all this stuff, I just am. I need to find someone to spar with me, got some aggression to sweat out. I think Neji-san should be a good and welcoming friend and help me find a good place around here to train, for old times sake. mood: annoyed music: Insane Clown Posse |

Who'd have thought that Tokyo would be so interesting? It's much different than where I came from in Kyoto, but I'm certain that I'll end up liking it a lot. It was funny saying goodbye to everyone and moving in, especially since I'm staying with a friend of my dad's until I can find an apartment. Still, I've got a kickass apprenticeship doing electrical work on apartments and stuff, and I got into Tokyo Uni for Engineering! I'm super excited. I am certain I'll run into people I know soon! I checked out an apartment building earlier today and saw a familiar name on one of the mailboxes. Hyuuga Neji, are you still practicing and competing? I'm gonna totally beat you one day, just you wait! I've been working on my katas and everything, and I've gotten a lot tougher. That reminds me, I hope I can find a good dojo to continue my studies around here. I am going to be one busy little bear woman if I get my way! mood: excited music: Skye Sweetnam |
